LARKSPUR FED

GEOTHERMAL PILOT PROJECT
Geothermal energy is a form of renewable energy derived from the heat stored beneath the earth's surface. We are planning on using our industry-leading expertise in drilling and carbon management to work towards Net Zero emissions goals. Oxy is working through the permitting process on a geothermal project in your community. The two-well project requires permits from both the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) and Weld County. The ECMC has determined the application is complete. At this time, we estimate that drilling will start in 2025. The timeline for development is based on obtaining the required permits and drilling rig availability.
TULIP
We continue to work through the permitting process and are looking forward to connecting with you at our virtual community meeting in the coming weeks. Please click the "September 2024 - Tulip Virtual Meting" link for details.
CYPRESS
We continue to work through the state and local permitting processes. The Energy and Carbon Management Commission has determined the application to be complete and has scheduled a hearing for September 2024.

STATE OF COLORADO AZ1 FLOWLINE REMOVAL
While completing reclamation activities at the former St of Colo AL2 & AL1 O SA facility, Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Onshore LP (KMOG) discovered several abandoned subsurface lines that formerly transported crude oil and produced water between equipment within the facility. Stained soil was also observed near the lines. Soil samples were collected and detections above the Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) standards for hydrocarbons were identified. KMOG has reported these detections to the ECMC through a Form 19 Spill/Release Report. The abandoned lines are in the process of being removed. Once the lines are removed, and in accordance with ECMC regulations, the impacted soil will be excavated and taken to a licensed disposal facility. Additional soil samples will be collected to confirm the impacts have been removed, and clean fill material will be brought in to backfill the excavation. These cleanup efforts will be documented in a supplemental Form 19 Spill/Release Report.
