STATE OF COLORADO AZ1 FLOWLINE REMOVAL

While completing reclamation activities at the former St of Colo AL2 & AL1 O SA facility, Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Onshore LP (KMOG) discovered several abandoned subsurface lines that formerly transported crude oil and produced water between equipment within the facility. Stained soil was also observed near the lines. Soil samples were collected and detections above the Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) standards for hydrocarbons were identified. KMOG has reported these detections to the ECMC through a Form 19 Spill/Release Report. The abandoned lines are in the process of being removed. Once the lines are removed, and in accordance with ECMC regulations, the impacted soil will be excavated and taken to a licensed disposal facility. Additional soil samples will be collected to confirm the impacts have been removed, and clean fill material will be brought in to backfill the excavation. These cleanup efforts will be documented in a supplemental Form 19 Spill/Release Report.
